Rei Sagara is the manager of the famous Sena family. Rei was found and brought to the family by the father, Seiya at the age of 18.

Personality

He is serious with a no-nonsense personality. He is a hard worker and is the main care-taker of Izumi, seeing him as his own son. Rei is somewhat of a Deadpan Snarker, wearing a constant poker face and bluntly telling it how it is. He sugar coats nothing. His cool and professional exterior can sometimes make people think he doesn't care. He is surprisingly tolerant of Shougo, despite his easy-to-annoy nature.

Appearance

Rei has short dark green hair and golden-brown eyes in the manga and anime. He is also of medium-short height. He is mostly seen wearing a suit and glasses. He has a perfect vision and only wears the glasses for show, because if he takes them off he gets a lot more attention from other people and the glasses serve to mask his attractiveness and divert unwanted attention.

History

His mother died in an accident only a few days prior Christmas. They hadn't exactly been close, but she was the only family he had, since his father wasn't in the picture. Apparently she’d been someone’s mistress, but they’d been cut off from contact with the man around the time Rei was born, so he grew up not knowing his father’s face or even his name.

However, even his mother had been someone far removed from Rei’s consciousness. She’d raised Rei using money she made as a prostitute, and given the nature of her business, she was never around much when Rei was at home. He spent many long, lonely hours by himself from a young age.

He stopped really caring for his mother sometime in elementary school, and by the time he entered middle school, he started picking fights with anyone who crossed his path. While he managed to make it to high school, his behavior only worsened, and he became involved in a fair number of dirty dealings.

Despite his lack of studying, he still managed to get decent grades, and his teachers even recommended that he take exams to get into a university. But he had to give up that dream due to a lack of funds. Feeling like his future had been snatched away by his family situation, he grew even more violent and bitter. By the time his mother died, he had nothing and didn't care about anything. Then Seiya came along and gave him a home, an education. and a job as his personal assistant. Eventually Rei became SenaPro's manager looking after the family's careers.
